I have only volunteered I have not had a job yet.
I would prefer to work outdoors because I like the fresh air.

I always think about volunteering as work without the pay cheque.
Volunteers across Canada and the world contribute so much to make our communities work better for everyone.
I always feel sad when people who volunteer for no pay, think that what they do is less worthy than what people who work for pay do.
I don't agree. We need both.
What is important is that people who work for pay and people who volunteer for no pay both have enough income to live well and have all their needs met.
That's my two cents worth!
